Product details
The CSB XPL9000FT, part of the XPL-FT series, is a 12V front terminal pure lead valve-regulated sealed lead-acid battery that uses Absorbent Glass Mat (AGM) technology, achieves 99% gas recombination efficiency, and is maintenance-free. Manufactured to IEC 60896-21/22:2004 and recognized to UL1989 (MH14533), it is designed primarily for high-rate UPS and data center backup power applications.
Regarding electrical specifications, the XPL9000FT has a nominal voltage of 12 Vdc and a nominal capacity of 9000W @5min-rate (9.60V per PCS @ 25°C). Per-cell power performance: 2069.83 W/cell at 30 seconds to 1.67 VPC; 1403.33 W/cell at 5 minutes to 1.67 VPC; and 907.67 W/cell at 15 minutes to 1.67 VPC. Maximum charge current is 75.00 A, maximum discharge current is 1900 A, short-circuit current is 5102 A, and internal resistance is 1.86 mΩ.
For charging conditions and temperature range, at 25°C the float charge voltage is 13.5 - 13.8 Vdc/battery and the equalize charge voltage is 14.4 - 15.0 Vdc/battery. Operating temperature: nominal 25°C; discharge from -15°C to 50°C; charge and storage from -15°C to 40°C. For self-discharge, less than 10% after 90 days at 25°C, with storage up to 6 months, extendable to 10 months with equalize charging; a full charge is required before use, and if storage temperature exceeds 25°C, recharge earlier.
In terms of construction, the XPL9000FT case material is PP (UL 94-HB), with a flame-retardant (94-V0) version available on request. Terminals are I2 threaded lead alloy, accept M6 bolts, and the recommended torque is 51.7±10.3 Kgf∙cm / 44.9±9.0 Lbf∙in / 5.1±1.0 N∙m. Weight is 69.50 kg (153.22 lb), and dimensions are length 558.0±2.5 mm, width 126.0±1.5 mm, height 323.0±2.5 mm.
Design life reaches 10 years under standby float charging at 25°C and meets the Eurobat long life standard (greater than 12 years at 20°C). With its front terminal design and pure lead construction, the XPL9000FT suits high-rate backup applications such as data center uninterruptible power supplies, providing reliable backup power for critical equipment.
