CSB Calor XHT-FT Pure Lead High-Temperature Battery Technical Specifications
The Calor XHT-FT, part of CSB Energy Technology's lineup, is officially positioned as a model in the pure lead high-temperature battery series, developed primarily for extreme power density, short-duration power supply, and mission-critical UPS applications. Compared to standard standby batteries, its ability to maintain discharge stability under high-temperature conditions is emphasized, so both structural design and material selection have been specifically adjusted around this goal, making it suitable for scenarios with high requirements for uninterrupted power supply.
In terms of manufacturing process, the Calor XHT-FT utilizes In-Case Formation (ICF) technology, which completes formation inside the battery case, combined with a proprietary catalyst and PC-ABS plastic. The ICF process helps streamline production steps and improve product consistency; the proprietary catalyst functions in gas recombination and internal reaction regulation under high-temperature environments; PC-ABS plastic balances heat resistance and mechanical strength, allowing the case to maintain structural stability even when ambient temperatures are high.
Technically, the series follows a valve-regulated lead-acid (VRLA) architecture, achieving efficient gas recombination through absorbent glass mat (AGM) separators, with a recombination rate of up to 99%, and features maintenance-free, rechargeable, and leak-proof characteristics. The pure lead grid structure and proprietary formulation are the foundation of its high-temperature resistance and long life performance. For terminals, the Calor XHT-FT offers a choice of front or top terminal connections, facilitating flexible installation based on the actual space and maintenance practices of the cabinet or battery rack.
In terms of standards and specifications, the Calor XHT-FT holds UL 1973 Recognized (MH66728) certification, and the series documentation also references standards such as IEC 61056-1/2:2012, IEC 60896-21/22:2004, and IEC 61427. Design life is stated under float standby at 25°C conditions, ranging from 5 to 20 years; charging voltage is specified at 25°C, with float and equalize ranges marked separately per battery or cell, for example, a 12V battery has a float charge of 13.5-13.8 Vdc and equalize charge of 14.4-15.0 Vdc; the temperature range is nominal 25°C, with discharge from -15°C to 50°C, and charging and storage from -15°C to 40°C.
In application, the Calor XHT-FT primarily targets scenarios such as data center UPS requiring high power density short-duration discharge, and can also serve as an alternative for mission-critical backup power in high-temperature environments. When selecting, users are advised to consider on-site temperature, discharge rate, and backup time requirements, confirm specific specifications against official model data, and ensure battery service life and reliability under high-temperature conditions through float voltage and temperature compensation settings.
