CSB Energy Technology Co., Ltd. is a major player in the global manufacture of valve-regulated lead-acid (VRLA) batteries. The company was established on November 28, 1986, initially under the name Kobe Battery Co., Ltd. (Taiwan, China), entered a joint venture with Shin-Kobe Electric Machinery Co., Ltd. in 1987, and was renamed CSB Energy Technology Co., Ltd. in May 2020. The product lineup includes 142 active models across 20 series, with voltage ranging from 2V cells, 6V, and 12V up to 512V lithium battery cabinets; capacity-type products cover 4.5Ah to 1700Ah, while power-type products range from 18W to 9000W (5- to 15-minute rates). Technologically, they adopt a valve-regulated sealed lead-acid (VRLA) design, using absorptive glass mat (AGM) separators to achieve efficient gas recombination of up to 99%, combined with pure lead grids and proprietary formulations, offering maintenance-free, rechargeable, and leak-proof characteristics.
In terms of applications, the products serve data center UPS, renewable energy, telecommunications, general-purpose, and electric mobility sectors. Data center UPS addresses uninterruptible power supply scenarios for enterprise, cloud, hyperscale, multi-tenant, edge, and colocation services; renewable energy suits deep-cycle, long-duration discharge needs for residential, commercial and industrial, and utility-scale storage; telecommunications covers long-duration float backup for wired trunk stations, wireless macro sites, and wireless small cells; general-purpose is used for emergency lighting, security, medical equipment, and other everyday applications; and electric mobility targets deep-cycle applications for personal mobility devices such as scooters, wheelchairs, and RVs.
