Product details

The CSB XHT8000FT belongs to the XHT series of 12V front terminal valve-regulated sealed lead-acid batteries. It utilizes AGM absorbed glass mat separators and a proprietary grid design, achieving a 99% gas recombination rate, and incorporates pure lead construction with Catalist 2X proprietary additive technology. The product features a maintenance-free design, with a shock-resistant PC-ABS flame-retardant casing that meets UL 94-V0 requirements. It is suitable for high-rate and high-temperature backup scenarios, designed for mission-critical power supply in harsh environments. In terms of electrical parameters, the battery has a nominal voltage of 12 Vdc and a nominal capacity of 8000W @ 5min-rate (9.60V per PCS @ 25°C). The watts per cell data are 1831.17 W/cell at 30 seconds at 1.67 VPC, 1287.17 W/cell at 5 minutes at 1.67 VPC, and 821.50 W/cell at 15 minutes at 1.67 VPC. The maximum charging current is 66.70 A, the maximum discharge current is 1660 (5sec), the short-circuit current is 4570 A, and the internal resistance is 2.17 mΩ. The float charging voltage is 13.5 - 13.8 Vdc/battery (25°C), and the equalization charging voltage is 14.4 - 15.0 Vdc/battery (25°C). In terms of dimensions, the XHT8000FT is 558.0±2.5 mm long, 126.0±1.5 mm wide, and 325.0±2.5 mm high, weighing 66.6 kg. The terminal is an I2 thread lead alloy terminal to accept M6 bolt, with a terminal torque of 51.7±10.3 Kgf∙cm, 44.9±9.0 Lbf∙in, or 5.1±1.0 N∙m. The design life is 12+ years at 25°C float charging and 10 years at 35°C float charging. The operating temperature range is -40°C to 65°C for discharge, and -40°C to 65°C for both charging and storage. Regarding self-discharge, it is less than 10% after 90 days at 25°C. The battery can be stored for up to 6 months, extendable to 10 months with equalization charging. It must be fully charged before use; if the storage temperature exceeds 25°C, recharge earlier. The product is manufactured in accordance with IEC 60896-21/22:2004 and UL1989 (MH14533), and is UL 1973 Recognized (MH66728). Its official application area is data center uninterruptible power supplies, making it suitable as backup power for mission-critical scenarios. During installation and maintenance, set the charging equipment according to the float and equalization voltage ranges above, and tighten the M6 bolt connections following the terminal torque requirements, avoiding exceeding the maximum charging current and maximum discharge current. The storage environment should be maintained near 25°C with periodic supplementary charging to maintain battery performance. This battery is a valve-regulated sealed maintenance-free design, requiring no water replenishment during normal use. It is suitable for data center UPS and other backup power systems requiring high-rate discharge and high-temperature tolerance.
