Product details
The CSB MU1000S is part of the MU series and is a 2V valve-regulated sealed lead-acid battery utilizing Absorbent Glass Mat (AGM) technology, with a maximum gas recombination efficiency of 99% and a maintenance-free design. This series evolved from the MSV and MSJ models and is designed for larger-capacity float standby power applications such as telecommunications. It is manufactured in accordance with IEC 60896-21/22:2004 and is recognized under UL1989 (MH14533).
Regarding capacity, the MU1000S has a nominal capacity of 1000Ah, measured at 1.80VPC, 25°C, and 10-hour rate. Additional capacity data are as follows: 1016.00Ah at 8-hour rate and 1.75VPC, 1040.00Ah at 20-hour rate and 1.75VPC, and 976.00Ah at 8-hour rate and 1.80VPC. The maximum charging current is 300.00A, the maximum discharge current is 6000A, and the internal resistance is 0.31 mΩ.
In terms of construction, the battery uses a pure lead construction with proprietary formulation elements. The case material is flame-retardant polypropylene, meeting UL 94-V0 requirements. The terminals are I3 threaded copper alloy, accepting M10 bolts, with a terminal torque of 249±50 Kgf·cm, 216±43 Lbf·in, or 24.4±4.9 N·m. The dimensions are length 303.0±3.0mm, width 172.0±3.0mm, depth 497.0±3.0mm, and weight 62.50kg.
Regarding operating conditions, the float charge voltage at 25°C is 2.21 to 2.25 Vdc/battery, and the equalization charge voltage is 2.35 Vdc/battery (25°C). The nominal operating temperature is 25°C; discharge can be performed from -15°C to 50°C, while charging and storage can be performed from -15°C to 40°C. In terms of self-discharge characteristics, storage at 25°C for 90 days results in less than 10% self-discharge, and the battery can be stored for up to 6 months. It must be fully charged before use, and if the storage temperature exceeds 25°C, a refresh charge is required.
Regarding design life, the MU1000S can achieve 20 years in float standby service at 25°C, and more than 12 years at 20°C under the Eurobat standard, placing it in the very long life category. This battery, in a 2V cell format, provides stable power support for high-capacity float standby power applications such as telecommunications.
