Product details
The TPL121600FR is a 12V front terminal VRLA battery in CSB's TPL series. It utilizes Absorbent Glass Mat (AGM) technology with a gas recombination efficiency of up to 99%, and is constructed with pure lead and proprietary elements. Positioned as a front terminal long life telecom pure lead battery, its primary use is float standby power, with official application targeting telecom communication, meeting the needs of multi-hour operation in broadband scenarios.
In terms of electrical specifications, the nominal voltage is 12 Vdc, and the nominal capacity is 160 Ah (test condition 1.80 VPC @25°C, 10-hour rate). Capacity varies with different discharge conditions: at 1.75 VPC @25°C, an 8-hour rate discharge yields 159 Ah; at the same voltage and temperature, a 20-hour rate discharge yields 173 Ah; and at 1.80 VPC @25°C, an 8-hour rate discharge yields 156 Ah. The maximum charging current is 48 A, the maximum discharge current is 800 A, the short-circuit current is 2593 A, and the measured internal resistance is 3.70 mΩ. At 25°C, the float charging voltage is set at 13.5 - 13.8 Vdc/battery, and the equalization charging voltage is 14.4 - 15.0 Vdc/battery.
The terminal uses an I2 threaded lead alloy type, compatible with M6 bolts, with a torque specification of 51.7±10.3 Kgf∙cm / 44.9±9.0 Lbf∙in / 5.1±1.0 N∙m. The case is made of flame-retardant ABS (UL 94-V0). The overall weight is 54.80 kg (120.78 lb), and dimensions are length 547.0±2.5 mm, width 124.8±1.5 mm, height 320.3±2.5 mm. Under float charging at 25°C, the design life can be up to 12 years, and it meets the Eurobat (20°C) >12 years Very Long Life specification.
In terms of temperature adaptability: the nominal temperature is 25°C (77°F), the allowable discharge range is -15°C to 50°C (5°F to 122°F), while charging and storage must be between -15°C and 40°C (5°F to 104°F). For self-discharge, capacity loss is less than 10% after 90 days of storage at 25°C, with a maximum storage of 6 months (25°C); the battery must be fully charged before being put into operation, and if the storage temperature exceeds 25°C, recharging should be done correspondingly earlier. This battery is maintenance-free, complies with IEC 60896-21/22:2004, and is UL1989 recognized (MH14533).
