Product details
In CSB's TPL series, the TPL12600T is a 12V front terminal VRLA battery made with Absorbent Glass Mat (AGM) technology, achieving a gas recombination efficiency of up to 99%, and featuring a pure lead construction with a proprietary element formula. It is a maintenance-free design primarily intended for float standby power scenarios, with official applications in telecommunications, and the series is suitable for multi-hour operation in broadband applications.
Electrically, the TPL12600T has a nominal voltage of 12Vdc and a nominal capacity of 60Ah (1.80VPC @25°C, 10-hour rate). When discharged under different conditions, the capacity is as follows: 63.7Ah at the 8-hour rate to 1.75VPC @25°C, 69.6Ah at the 20-hour rate to 1.75VPC @25°C, and 62.7Ah at the 8-hour rate to 1.80VPC @25°C. The maximum charging current is 18A, the maximum discharging current is 800A, the short-circuit current is 1340A, and the internal resistance is 6.27mΩ.
Regarding charging and temperature characteristics: at 25°C, the float charging voltage range is 13.5 to 13.8Vdc per battery, and the equalization charging voltage is 14.4 to 15.0Vdc per battery. For operating temperature, the nominal is 25°C; discharge is allowed from -15°C to 50°C; charging and storage are between -15°C and 40°C. In terms of self-discharge, after 90 days of storage at 25°C, the remaining capacity is still above 90%, and it can be stored for up to 6 months, but must be fully charged before use; if the storage temperature exceeds 25°C, charging is required earlier.
Mechanically, the TPL12600T dimensions are: length 280.0±2.5mm, width 105.0±1.5mm, height 260.0±2.5mm, and weight approximately 21.20kg. The terminals are I2 threaded lead alloy, compatible with M6 bolts, with a recommended torque of 51.7±10.3 Kgf·cm (i.e., 44.9±9.0 Lbf·in or 5.1±1.0 N·m). The case is made of flame-retardant ABS, meeting UL 94-V0 standards.
In terms of design life, it can reach 12 years under float charging at 25°C, and exceeds 12 years according to the Eurobat standard (20°C), qualifying as Very Long Life. The product is manufactured according to IEC 60896-21/22:2004 and is UL1989 recognized (MH14533). Because of its front terminal design and long life characteristics, this battery is well suited for float standby scenarios requiring long-duration backup power, such as telecommunications.
