Product details

The CSB TPL12400T belongs to the TPL series and is a 12V front terminal valve-regulated sealed lead-acid battery. It utilizes Absorbent Glass Mat (AGM) technology, achieving a gas recombination efficiency of 99%, and is maintenance-free by design. This series is a front terminal, long life telecom pure lead battery series developed for broadband applications requiring multi-hour backup time, with official designated application in telecommunications. Regarding capacity, the TPL12400T at 25°C, 1.80VPC, 10-hour rate has a nominal capacity of 40Ah; at the same 25°C, 1.75VPC, the 8-hour rate reaches 40.64Ah, and the 20-hour rate is 45.20Ah; if conditions are 25°C, 1.80VPC, the 8-hour rate is 40.08Ah. Maximum charge current is 12.0A, maximum discharge current is 400A, short-circuit current is 1256A, and internal resistance is 6.70 mΩ. For charging and temperature, at 25°C, the float voltage is 13.5 to 13.8 Vdc/battery, and the equalize voltage is 14.4 to 15.0 Vdc/battery. The nominal operating temperature is 25°C, with discharge allowed from -15°C to 50°C, and charge and storage allowed from -15°C to 40°C. At 25°C, self-discharge is less than 10% after 90 days; storage at 25°C is up to 6 months, requiring a full charge before use; if storage temperature exceeds 25°C, recharge is required earlier. In terms of construction, the TPL12400T case uses flame-retardant ABS, compliant with UL 94-V0; the terminals are I2 threaded lead alloy terminals, accepting M6 bolts, with terminal torque of 51.7±10.3 Kgf∙cm, 44.9±9.0 Lbf∙in, 5.1±1.0 N∙m. Dimensions: length 280.0±2.5 mm, width 105.0±1.5 mm, height 195.0±2.0 mm, weight 15.0 kg. This battery is positioned as a float standby power source, with a design life of up to 12 years under 25°C standby service, and over 12 years under Eurobat 20°C conditions, qualifying as a very long life grade. Manufactured according to IEC 60896-21/22:2004 and UL1989 recognized (MH14533). The front terminal layout makes wiring and maintenance within cabinets more convenient, suitable for float standby applications such as telecommunications requiring long backup time.
