Product details
The GPL12520 is a 12V valve-regulated sealed lead-acid battery in CSB's GPL series, featuring a 12V Top Terminal VRLA-AGM design. As the upgraded long-life version of the GP series, it is primarily designed for general-purpose float standby power, with an expected service life of 10 years under 25°C float conditions, and it meets the Eurobat long-life standard classification for more than 12 years at 20°C.
In terms of capacity, the GPL12520 has a rated capacity of 52 Ah at 25°C, 1.75 VPC, 20-hour rate; when discharged at the 8-hour rate, 1.75 VPC, 25°C, it delivers 49.36 Ah; and at the 8-hour rate, 1.80 VPC, 25°C, the capacity is 48.32 Ah. The battery can withstand a maximum charge current of 15.60 A, a discharge current of 500 A, a short-circuit current of 1485 A, and has an internal resistance of 5.1 mΩ.
Technically, it relies on a valve-regulated sealed lead-acid structure and AGM technology, with gas recombination efficiency as high as 99%. It is maintenance-free and uses a pure lead construction with proprietary elements. The case is made of PP material (compliant with UL 94-HB); if flame-retardant properties are required, 94-V0 material can be specified. The terminals use an I2 threaded lead alloy design, compatible with M6 bolts, with a torque range of 51.7±10.3 Kgf·cm, 44.9±9.0 Lbf·in, or 5.10±1.0 N·m.
In terms of physical dimensions, the battery is 228.0±2.5 mm long, 138.4±1.5 mm wide, and 206.3±2.5 mm high, weighing 17.80 kg (39.23 lb). For charging parameters, at 25°C the float voltage should be set at 13.5 to 13.8 Vdc/battery, and the equalization voltage is 14.4 to 15.0 Vdc/battery. The nominal operating temperature is 25°C, the allowable discharge range is -15°C to 50°C, and the charge and storage temperature range is -15°C to 40°C.
Regarding self-discharge performance, when stored at 25°C for 90 days, capacity loss is less than 10%, and it can be stored for up to 6 months, but it must be fully charged before use; if the storage temperature exceeds 25°C, it needs to be charged earlier. This product is manufactured in accordance with IEC 60896-21/22:2004 and certified to UL1989 (MH14533), making it suitable for applications such as float standby power.
