The GPL series includes a 12V top-terminal valve-regulated sealed lead-acid battery—the CSB GPL1272. It is officially defined as a general-purpose product and is also the longer-life version of the GP series, primarily targeting general standby power applications and offering a longer service life. Its nominal capacity is 7.2Ah (test conditions: 20-hour rate, 1.75VPC, 25°C); measured at the 8-hour rate, 1.75VPC, 25°C, the capacity is 6.80Ah; at the 20-hour rate, 1.75VPC, 25°C it is 7.32Ah; and at the 8-hour rate, 1.80VPC, 25°C it is 6.57Ah.
In terms of electrical parameters, the GPL1272 can withstand a maximum charge current of 2.16A and a discharge current of 130A, with a short-circuit current of 265A and an internal resistance of 22.0mΩ. The float charge voltage is set at 13.5 to 13.8Vdc (25°C), and the equalization charge voltage is 14.4 to 15.0Vdc (25°C). Self-discharge performance: after 90 days at 25°C, the remaining capacity is still above 90%; it can be stored at 25°C for up to 6 months, but must be fully charged before use.
