Product details
In the GPL series, the CSB GPL12800 is a 12V top-terminal valve-regulated sealed lead-acid battery that uses AGM technology and is officially defined as the long-life version of the GP series, primarily targeting general-purpose backup power applications. In terms of capacity, the nominal value is 80 Ah (1.75 VPC @25°C, 20-hour rate); when discharged at the 8-hour rate, 1.75 VPC @25°C, the capacity is 75.04 Ah; at the 20-hour rate, 1.75 VPC @25°C, it is 80.80 Ah; and at the 8-hour rate, 1.80 VPC @25°C, the capacity is 73.36 Ah.
In terms of electrical specifications, the battery can withstand a maximum charging current of 24.00 A, a maximum discharge current of 800 A, a short-circuit current of 1933 A, and an internal resistance of 4.0 mΩ. The float charging voltage is set at 13.5 to 13.8 Vdc/battery (25°C), and the equalization charging voltage is 14.4 to 15.0 Vdc/battery (25°C). The terminals use I2 threaded lead alloy material, accept M6 bolts, and have torque specifications of 51.7±10.3 Kgf·cm, 44.9±9.0 Lbf·in, or 5.10±1.0 N·m.
Dimensions and weight data: the battery is 261.0±2.5 mm long, 168.5±2.0 mm wide, and 213.5±2.5 mm high, weighing 25.60 kg (56.42 lb). The case material is PP (UL 94-HB), and a flame-retardant 94-V0 version can be provided upon request. In terms of temperature adaptability, the nominal temperature is 25°C (77°F), the allowable discharge range is -15°C to 50°C, and charging and storage are between -15°C and 40°C.
This battery combines valve-regulated sealed lead-acid design with absorbent glass mat (AGM) technology, achieves a gas recombination efficiency of up to 99%, requires no maintenance, and uses a pure lead construction and proprietary element formulation, specifically designed for float-charge backup power applications. Under 25°C float charging conditions, the design life can reach 10 years; according to the Eurobat (20°C) standard, the life exceeds 12 years and is classified as Very Long Life. In terms of self-discharge rate, it is less than 10% after 90 days of storage at 25°C, can be stored for up to 6 months, and must be fully charged before use; if the storage temperature exceeds 25°C, it should be charged earlier. The product is manufactured in accordance with IEC 60896-21/22:2004 and has obtained UL1989 recognition (MH14533).
