Product details
The CSB MSV-300 in the MSV series is a 2V valve-regulated lead-acid (VRLA-AGM) battery positioned for high-capacity, long-life design, primarily serving the backup power needs of large emergency and telecommunications applications. The nominal voltage is 2 Vdc; at 25°C and 1.80 VPC, the 10-hour rate nominal capacity reaches 300 Ah, while the 8-hour and 20-hour rate capacities are provided according to the conditions listed in the data sheet, sufficient to meet the long-duration float backup power requirements of communication sites.
This battery utilizes a valve-regulated sealed lead-acid construction and absorbed glass mat (AGM) technology, with a gas recombination efficiency of up to 99%, and is maintenance-free by design. Both positive and negative plates are made of pure lead with a proprietary formulation, suitable for high-capacity float standby power. The case is made of flame-retardant ABS material and meets the UL 94-V0 standard; the product is manufactured in accordance with IEC 60896-21/22:2004 and is UL1989 recognized (MH14533).
In terms of electrical specifications, the MSV-300 has a maximum charge current of 90.00 A, a maximum discharge current of 1800 A, a short-circuit current of 3600 A, and an internal resistance of only 0.54 mΩ. At 25°C, the float voltage ranges from 2.21 to 2.25 Vdc/battery, and the equalize voltage is 2.35 Vdc/battery. The terminals use I4 threaded copper alloy and accept M8 bolts, with torque to be controlled within the range of 126±25 Kgf·cm, 109±22 Lbf·in, or 12.3±2.5 N·m.
In terms of dimensions and weight, the battery is 170.0±2.0 mm long, 150.0±1.5 mm wide, and 339.0±2.5 mm high, weighing 18.20 kg (40.11 lb). The nominal operating temperature is 25°C (77°F), the discharge temperature range is -15°C to 50°C, and the charge and storage temperature range is -15°C to 40°C. Under 25°C float conditions, the design life can reach 15 years; according to the Eurobat 20°C standard, it even achieves an extra-long life rating of greater than 12 years.
Self-discharge performance: after 90 days of storage at 25°C, the remaining capacity is still above 90%, and it can be stored for up to 6 months. Be sure to fully charge before use; if the storage temperature exceeds 25°C, supplementary charging is required earlier. With these characteristics, the MSV-300 is well suited for backup power scenarios such as telecommunications that require long-term float standby, and during installation and maintenance, the voltage, torque, and temperature conditions specified in the data sheet must be strictly followed.
