The MSV-500 is a 2V valve-regulated sealed lead-acid battery in CSB's MSV series, utilizing AGM (absorbent glass mat) technology with a gas recombination efficiency of up to 99%. It is officially positioned as a high-capacity, long-service-life VRLA 2V battery, primarily intended for large emergency and telecommunications applications. In terms of capacity, the MSV-500 has a nominal capacity of 500Ah at 1.80 VPC @25°C at the 10-hour rate; at 1.75 VPC @25°C at the 8-hour rate, the capacity is 511.20Ah; at 1.75 VPC @25°C at the 20-hour rate, it is 512.00Ah; and at 1.80 VPC @25°C at the 8-hour rate, it is 500.80Ah. Electrically, the battery has a maximum charge current of 150.00A, a maximum discharge current of 3000A, a short-circuit current of 7258A, and an internal resistance of 0.39 mΩ. At 25°C, the float charge voltage is 2.21 to 2.25 Vdc/battery, and the equalize charge voltage is 2.35 Vdc/battery.
