Product details
The XPL2700 belongs to CSB's XPL product line. It is a 12V valve-regulated sealed lead-acid battery with top terminals, utilizing AGM (absorbent glass mat) technology with a maximum gas recombination efficiency of 99%, and features a pure lead construction. This series was developed for large-capacity cells and applications requiring long-duration backup power, with the manufacturer listing data center uninterruptible power supply systems as its application area.
In terms of electrical specifications, the XPL2700 has a nominal voltage of 12 Vdc and a nominal capacity of 2700W @5min-rate, tested at 9.60V per cell at 25°C. At 30 seconds, 1.67 VPC, 25°C, the power per cell is 719.17 W/cell; at 5 minutes, 1.67 VPC, 25°C, it is 463.17 W/cell; at 15 minutes, 1.67 VPC, 25°C, it is 252.67 W/cell. Maximum charge current is 22.50 A, maximum discharge current is 650 A, short-circuit current is 1680 A, and internal resistance is 4.20 mΩ.
Regarding charging and temperature, at 25°C the float voltage is 13.5 to 13.8 Vdc/battery, and the equalize voltage is 14.4 to 15.0 Vdc/battery. The nominal operating temperature is 25°C, the discharge temperature range is -15°C to 50°C, and the charge and storage range is -15°C to 40°C. Self-discharge is less than 10% after 90 days, and it can be stored for 6 months at 25°C, extendable to 10 months with equalizing charge; it must be fully charged before use, and if the storage temperature exceeds 25°C, charging is required sooner.
In terms of construction, the XPL2700 features I2 threaded lead alloy terminals that accept M6 bolts, with a terminal torque of 51.7±10.3 Kgf∙cm, 44.9±9.0 Lbf∙in, or 5.1±1.0 N∙m. The case material is PP (UL 94-HB), and a flame-retardant 94-V0 version is also available upon request. Dimensions: length 228.0±2.5 mm, width 138.4±1.5 mm, height 206.3±2.5 mm, weight 18.52 kg (40.82 lb).
This product features a maintenance-free design and is suitable for high-rate UPS and float standby power applications. It is manufactured in accordance with IEC 60896-21/22:2004 and is UL1989 recognized (MH14533). Under 25°C float standby service, the design life can reach 10 years, and under Eurobat 20°C conditions it exceeds 12 years, classifying it as a long-life type.
