Product details

The CSB XPL6700 is a 12V top-terminal valve-regulated sealed lead-acid battery belonging to the XPL series. This series is positioned as a high-capacity pure lead VRLA product line for long-duration backup applications requiring large-format single cells, with data center uninterruptible power supplies as its official application area. The battery uses a valve-regulated sealed lead-acid construction and absorbed glass mat technology to achieve up to 99% gas recombination efficiency, requiring no maintenance during normal use. It also features a pure lead construction and proprietary formulation, designed for high-rate UPS and float standby power applications. In terms of electrical parameters, the XPL6700 has a voltage of 12 Vdc and a nominal capacity of 6700W @5min-rate (9.60V per PCS @ 25°C). The per-cell power is 1466.67 W/cell at 30 seconds to 1.67 VPC, 1054.83 W/cell at 5 minutes to 1.67 VPC, and 651.83 W/cell at 15 minutes to 1.67 VPC. The maximum charge current is 55.80 A, the maximum discharge current is 1350 A, the short-circuit current is 4018 A, and the internal resistance is 2.33 mΩ. The float voltage is 13.5 to 13.8 Vdc/battery (25°C), and the equalize voltage is 14.4 to 15.0 Vdc/battery (25°C). In terms of construction, the XPL6700 has dimensions of 343.0±2.5 mm in length, 170.0±2.0 mm in width, and 275.7±2.5 mm in height, with a weight of 47.90 kg. The terminals are I2 threaded lead alloy terminals that accept M6 bolts, with terminal torque of 51.7±10.3 Kgf∙cm, 44.9±9.0 Lbf∙in, or 5.1±1.0 N∙m. The case material is PP (UL 94-HB), and a flame-retardant (94-V0) version is available upon request. Regarding operating temperature, the nominal temperature is 25°C, the discharge temperature range is -15°C to 50°C, and the charge and storage temperature range is -15°C to 40°C. The design life can reach 10 years under float charge use at 25°C and more than 12 years under the Eurobat (20°C) standard, placing it in the very long life category. For self-discharge, it is less than 10% after 90 days at 25°C, can be stored for up to 6 months, and with equalizing charge can be stored for up to 10 months. It must be fully charged before use, and if the storage temperature is above 25°C, it should be charged sooner. The XPL6700 is manufactured in accordance with IEC 60896-21/22:2004 and is recognized under UL1989 (MH14533). Its high-capacity single cell, pure lead construction, and high-rate discharge capability make it suitable for float standby scenarios requiring long-duration backup power, such as data center UPS systems. When used at 25°C with the float and equalize voltages above, it can deliver its design life and discharge performance.
