The GP1245 is a general-purpose VRLA battery in CSB's GP series. It has a nominal voltage of 12 Vdc and a 15-minute rate nominal capacity of 16W at 1.67 VPC @25°C. The battery uses Absorbent Glass Mat (AGM) technology with a gas recombination efficiency of up to 99%, and its maintenance-free construction makes it ideal for float standby power applications.
In terms of electrical specifications, the GP1245 delivers 34.8 W/cell at the 5-minute rate (1.67 VPC @25°C) and 16.4 W/cell at the 15-minute rate. The maximum charge current is 1.60 A, the maximum discharge current is 90 A, the short-circuit current reaches 168 A, and the measured internal resistance is 29.8 mΩ. At 25°C, the float charging voltage should be set at 13.5 - 13.8 Vdc/battery, and the equalization charging voltage falls between 14.4 - 15.0 Vdc/battery.
In terms of dimensions, the battery measures 90.0±1.0 mm in length, 70.0±1.0 mm in width, and 106.1±1.5 mm in height, with a weight of approximately 1.34 kg. The terminal is F2 terminal - Faston Tab 250. The case is made of ABS (UL 94-HB), and a version compliant with the 94-V0 flame retardant rating is also available upon request.
Temperature range: nominal 25°C; discharge allowed from -15°C to 50°C; charging and storage between -15°C and 40°C. Under float charging at 25°C, the design life can reach up to 5 years, meeting the Eurobat (20°C) 3-5 year standard commercial grade requirement. The self-discharge rate is low, remaining less than 10% after 90 days of storage; it can be stored at 25°C for up to 6 months, but must be fully charged before use, and if the storage temperature exceeds 25°C, recharging is required sooner.
