Product details

The CSB GP672 is a general purpose valve-regulated sealed lead-acid battery in the GP series. Its separator uses Absorbent Glass Mat (AGM) technology, achieving gas recombination efficiency of up to 99%, and the battery is maintenance-free by design. The nominal voltage is 6Vdc, with a nominal capacity of 7.2Ah at the 20-hour rate (1.75VPC @25°C). When discharged at the 8-hour rate at 1.75VPC, the capacity is 7.04Ah; at the 20-hour rate at 1.75VPC, it is 8.40Ah; and at the 8-hour rate at 1.80VPC, the capacity is 6.96Ah. This battery uses a pure lead construction with a proprietary formulation, making it suitable for float standby power applications. In terms of electrical specifications, the GP672 can withstand a maximum charge current of 2.16A, a maximum discharge current of 130A, and a short-circuit current of 259A, with an internal resistance measured at 12.3mΩ. At 25°C, the float charge voltage should be set between 6.75 and 6.90Vdc/battery, and the equalization charge voltage between 7.20 and 7.50Vdc/battery. The battery has a low self-discharge rate; stored at 25°C for 90 days, self-discharge is less than 10%, and it can be stored for up to 6 months, but must be fully charged before use. If the storage ambient temperature exceeds 25°C, charging is required sooner. Structurally, the GP672 measures 151.0±2.0mm in length, 34.0±1.0mm in width, and 100.7±1.5mm in height, weighs approximately 1.22kg, and features F2 Faston Tab 250 terminals. The case material is ABS (UL 94-HB), with a flame-retardant 94-V0 version available upon request. Regarding operating temperature, the nominal temperature is 25°C, with a discharge range of -15°C to 50°C and a charge and storage range of -15°C to 40°C. At 25°C, the design float life is up to 5 years; according to the Eurobat (20°C) standard, it is 3 to 5 years. This product is manufactured in accordance with IEC 61056-1/2:2012 and is UL1989 recognized (MH14533). The GP series is officially positioned as a general purpose VRLA battery, suitable for a variety of applications including security, emergency lighting, and medical equipment. With its 6V voltage and 7.2Ah capacity, the GP672 offers a maintenance-free battery option for applications requiring float standby power.
